great drawing
I like the intense look, the scuplted like face angles, light and shadow and composition. Great line of the ironed jacket and parting line of hair too. Very sharp and precise.
If at all anything is to be faulted, it is the red-brown shape of his wrist. The area beten the whiite sleeve and the palm seem ill-defined.
thanks for the compliments. I used photoshop's auto levels to try and counter the yellow tinge my lamp cast on the image. I'm too lazy/cheap to go out any buy the proper lamp for photo's. I've even tried combineing a regular light bulb with a floresent . . .but they still don't even each other out. Is that cheating?

His proven discovery's are what I would of called supernatural before i learned about him. The theories he was unable to test out before he died are more like mericles.

I'm not so into this piece...I was happy to finally get to it. If I'd had time i would of bought a colored pencil set and done it the right way. oh well...
So the patch of shiny stuff between the hand and cuff is actually where i used marker to go over a spot that needed to be absolutely black. I tried not useing the flash and the picture was mud, so the shiny one stays!
There are a few other spots where the marker shines too, no matter how i adjusted the lighting for the picture. . .

This is really nice work - good job on the shading and the detail - I was first most impressed with the composition which is very dramatic, but after checking out the full view could really appreciate the crispness and detail - excellent!
Thats a great compliment, charcole isn't the best media for detail!
The composition is unfortunately not much of a leap. I was working from a popular photograph of him, and there aren't many ways to crop that image!
Thanx for takeing the time out for a full view

I used some of his inventions to 'fry' up some plants to make them glow. (really stupid and dangerous now that I think about it) I;ll have to repost 'em for you soon.
The drawing is really good. Very effective lighting and contrasts. I love the way you feathered out the light to make it look like he was sitting in a large dark room.

I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
